She was dreaming. It was dark. Her eyes didn't get used to it. The girl had a dream where she was standing in front of an old well by the shore of a lake, with a little boat tied to the side.

She leaned over the side and looked down into the water. It was filled with dead fish, swirling gently around each other in the current. The girl began to cry, because she could see that they were all dead, that no one would ever be able to save them.

Suddenly she heard someone calling her name. It was her sister calling from several yards away. She stood up, wiped her nose on the back of her hand, and started walking toward her sister.

As she walked she could look down at the dead fish again, and see them bobbing along happily in the water below.
